Chris Hansen, ARM has more than 25 years of experience leading complex risk management functions in major corporations including:
Vice President of Risk Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Indirect Procurement at Rite Aid Corporation, where he led the teams responsible for all risk finance and risk control functions including insurance placement for all lines of coverage, self-administered casualty claim operations, first party claim resolution and the safety and environmental compliance programs. Additional responsibilities included development and implementation of the Company’s environmental social and governance sustainability program, and leading the team responsible for the negotiation and contracting of all corporate goods and services.
Sr. Director of Safety for Walmart Stores, where he led the teams responsible for development and implementation of loss control and OSHA compliance strategies for all US retail operations.
Assistant Vice president of Risk Management at Pathmark Stores, Inc., where he led their self-insured, self-administered workers compensation and general liability claim programs, and their risk finance, risk control and regulatory compliance programs.
He holds Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America, and has experience in classroom instruction teaching the course material required for designation as an Associate in Risk Management; Essentials of Risk Management, Essentials of Risk Control and Essentials of Risk Financing
Chris is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.
